Recultivation method for barren areas, including for coal mine waste depots, consisting in laying a layer of sludge from sewage treatment plants, and further that layer is covered with an insulation layer preferably from native material, characterized in that the recultivation is carried out in two stages over the entire recultivated area, whereas that area consists of a fertile septic sub-surface layer, and of a barren aseptic top layer, whereas cuttings of tall plants are first planted with their root systems being entered into the sub-surface layer of sludge from sewage treatment plants, and then after the time that fallen leaves from the high plants have enriched the aseptic top layer with humus substances, low plants are introduced to this layer.
