PURPOSE:To provide translucent ceramics whose transmissivity at a low wavelength range is enhance, and electrical insulation resistance is reduced to stabilize properties by reducing a sintered compact of Pb-La-Zr-Ti translucent ceramics thereby reducing lead content in the sintered compact to the range of a specified content on under. CONSTITUTION:In the production of the translucent ceramics consisting essentially of oxides of Pb, La, Zr and Ti, a sintered compact of a translucent ceramics shown by compsn. formula (Pb1-xLax)(ZryTiz)1-x/4O3 (in the formula, x=0.05-0.25; y/z=0.05/0.95-0.95/0.05) <=10wt.% Pb of containing total Pb is reduced. |
