<p>PURPOSE:To provide a liquid crystal display device and an apparatus using it which are inexpensive and can be miniaturized by integrating a matrix type liquid crystal display panel and an area sensor for reading a picture consisting of a photoelectric conversion element and the like. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted so as to integrate a matrix type liquid crystal display panel which is provided so that plural data lines and plural address lines intersect each other and displays a picture signal, a vertical shift register 1 and a horizontal shift register 2 which drives the matrix type liquid crystal display panel connected to data lines and address lines, a try state circuit TS connected to data lines, and a photodiode D connected respectively to data lines of each intersecting parts of plural data lines and plural address lines via a thin film transistor TFT.</p> |
