<p>PURPOSE:To provide the process for production of the color filter which is uniform in spectral characteristics of transparent colored layers by developing and removing the uncured parts of a photosensitive resin layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive resin layer 2 is formed on a glass substrate 1 by applying a photosensitive resin dispersed with org. pigments thereon. This photosensitive resin layer 2 is photoirradiated via a photomask 3 from the glass substrate 1 side under the conditions under which the ray arrival distance is shorter than the film thickness of this layer to cure the parts of the photosensitive resin layer 2 where the rays arrive thereafter, the uncured parts of the photosensitive resin layer 2 are removed by development processing, by which the transparent colored layers having a desired film thickness are formed. Since the film thickness of the transparent colored layers is determined by the ray arrival distance, the film thickness of the transparent colored layers is uniformly set and the fluctuation in the spectral characteristics thereof is prevented even if a film thickness distribution arises at the time of coating and forming the photosensitive resin layer 2.</p> |
