The furniture is made from two identical base plates (1) which have assembly slots (6,7). These are joined by assembly plates (8) which have complementary slots (9). When the furniture is erected the base plates are parallel to each other, at least for part of their length. The base plates and the assembly plates have the same shapes and dimensions. They are flat and have a curved base and straight converging sides. The plates can be the sector of a circle or rectangular or other shapes.
