PURPOSE:To allow the receiver side to recognize picture information of a color not recorded by the receiver side correctly at all times. CONSTITUTION:When picture information of a color not recorded by a receiver side is sent, a control circuit 38 uses a dot pattern conversion circuit 12 to convert the information into a prescribed black white binary dot pattern corresponding to the color and to send the result. Simultaneously list information representing the dot pattern used for the conversion for a page and a name of a color corresponding thereto is added to the space of the relevant page by an addition circuit 22 and the result is sent through the control of a pattern list generating circuit 20. |
