PURPOSE:To obtain the copying picture quality of a same level for all copying machines regardless of the dispersion of design of an optical system or the like by allowing each copying machine to automatically obtain an optimum correction value for gamma correction. CONSTITUTION:A digital copying machine 30 is provided with a scanner section 31, a laser printer section 32, a multi-stage paper feed unit 33 and a sorter 34, and plural originals are set at once to a double-side copy compatible automatic document feeder 36, the original is fed automatically one by one, and one side or both sides of the original are read by a scanner unit 40 depending on the selection of the operator. Picture data obtained by the unit 40 is fed to a picture processing control section (not shown) and stored in a memory built in the control section at once and the picture data in the memory are given to a laser printer section 32 in response to an output command. The laser write unit 46 consists of a semiconductor laser emitting a laser beam in response to picture data from the memory and uses a polygon mirror implementing deflection at an equal angular velocity to deflect the laser beam and the resulting beam is corrected on a photosensitive drum 48 of an electrostatic photography processing section 47. |
