PURPOSE:To read only first bar code information to automatically generate following bar code information based on this read bar code information at the time when specific numbers of bar code information added to individual postal matters which are presented at a time are sequential. CONSTITUTION:Bar code information read by a bar code reader 13 is not only written in a printing buffer 18a but also held in a K1 register 18b. The acceptance number of this bar code information and that of bar code information added to another postal matter are sequential, bar code information is not read from another postal matter by the bar code reader 13 but it is designated from a keyboard 14 that the sequential number is given. Then, a CPU 11 updates contents (acceptance number) of the K1 register 18b to generate new bar code information and writes it in the printing buffer 18a. |
