<p>PURPOSE:To freely define the reference method of a help text and to effectively execute reference by adjusting it to an environment where help is referred to by providing a customizing character for an online help function. CONSTITUTION:A processing part provided with a function for permitting a user to select a key fitted to himself among keys which are previously stored in a help text file, for retrieving the help text corresponding to the key, for displaying it on the screen of an input/output device 1-6, for repeatedly defining the parent-child relationship of the help text and for generating a reference structure definition file, and the processing part consists of a program and hardware executing the program. A retrieval/display part 1-2 reads the reference structure definition file 1-4 and displays defined reference structure in the input/ output device 1-6. Furthermore, the reference request of the user is received from the input/output device 1-6, a help text file 1-5 is retrieved and the result is displayed in the input/output device 1-6.</p> |
