<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate a reflected component at an edge part without making configuration of the device complicated by obtaining a difference between reproduced samples under and above an interpolated picture element and a difference between reproduced samples at the left and the right of the interpolated picture element and selecting the interpolation method depending on the magnitude of the difference of the upper/lower and the left/right samples. CONSTITUTION:In the still picture reproducing device in which a still picture recorded on an SV floppy disk 1 by the CHSV system is reproduced by a CHSV reproduction signal processing circuit 2, an output of the CHSV reproduction signal processing circuit 2 is converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter 3 and stored in a picture memory 4. When interpolation processing is implemented to the signal, a difference between reproduced samples under and above an interpolated picture element and a difference between reproduced samples at the left and the right of the interpolated picture element are obtained and the interpolation method is selected depending on the magnitude of the difference of the upper/lower and the left/right samples to eliminate a reflected component in the edge.</p> |
