PURPOSE:To operate a plurality of induction motors independently or cooperatively by providing inverters and controllers corresponding to the motors, and decoding external operation commands to apply corresponding operational command to each motor. CONSTITUTION:An inverter device 1 of a system in which a plurality of induction motors 6(61-6n) are controlled by the one inverter device 1, has a converter 2 for converting a commercial power source 5 to a DC power, inverters 4 (41-4n) corresponding to the motors 6, and control circuits 7 (71-7n) for controlling the inverters 4 externally according to an operation signal. The device 1 also has system controller 13 for decoding an operation command 14 to be input from an external sequencer 20 or a host computer 21 to form the command 14 for the motor 6, applying it to the circuit 7 and outputting an operating state 15 of the motor 6 to the sequencer 20 or the computer 21. |
