Arms (6) on each side of a vehicle are hinged about the axis (13) on the sub-frame (7), and are driven by hydraulic jacks (9) between the horizontal and the vertical. The ends of the arms when vertical engage in sockets (28) in the sides of the silo (5), when the rear of the vehicle is raised by the jacks. To load the silo onto the vehicle, the arms are folded by the jacks, until the silo is lying horizontal on the vehicle and the jacks are housed. USE/ADVANTAGE - For lifting and carrying small silos onto flatbed trucks and trailers. Easier handling, filling and emptying of load carriers for eg. grains and powders.
