PURPOSE:To reduce the effect of noise component by providing a picture signal read memory means which is able to read at first a picture signal written at first and also able to read at last a picture signal written at first to the device. CONSTITUTION:A CCD chip 3 has a horizontal charge transfer path HCCD1 the same as that of a conventional device at a lower part of an image section 7 and has another horizontal charge transfer path HCCD2 to an upper part of the image section 7. It is possible to read a picture signal from the HCCD1 or the HCCD2 depending whether the vertical charge transfer path is to be driven downward or upward. The picture signal read out of the CCD chip 3 is once stored in a memory 4. The memory 4 acts like an FIFO memory in which a picture signal written at first is read at first or like an FILO memory in which a picture signal written at first is read at last. Thus, an erected real image as shown in a pattern 5a is displayed on a monitor 5. |
