PURPOSE:To start at a pitch other than the pitch of a musical sound which is generated last, and to obtain portamento effect which is effective in performance or diversification. CONSTITUTION:Portament start pitch information and sound generation start pitch information are received by a receiving means 1 and a musical sound selecting means 2 selects at least the latest musical sound which begins to be sounded among musical sounds having the pitch corresponding to the portamento start pitch information; and a musical sound generating means 3 generates a musical sound signal, which varies in pitch with the time from the pitch corresponding to the portament start pitch information to the pitch corresponding to the sound generation start information, connecting with the selected musical sound according to the sound generation start information corresponding to the portament start pitch information. |
