HANDWRITTEN CHARACTER INPUT DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a handwritten character input device which has a function that can invalidate an erroneous stroke input in the handwritten character input in the unit of stroke or character. CONSTITUTION:A handwritten character input device inputs the handwritten characters by means of a stylus pen and a tablet 101. This input device is provided with a stroke data specifying means 102 which specifies the stroke data inputted erroneously by handwriting by detecting the stroke data that has the prescribed shape characteristic further by continuously inputting by handwriting a stroke data deleting means 103 which deletes the stroke data specified by the means 102 after invalidating it, and a character recognizing means 104 which recognizes the input characters from among all input stroke data that are not deleted by the means 103.
