<p>PURPOSE: To obtain the defect detector for a remote circuit with a simple circuit configuration by comparing response of a core with respect to bipolar continuous charge current pulses. CONSTITUTION: An unbalance between a transmission current toward a remote monitor 18 at a remote position and a return current from the remote monitor 18 is detected, by supplying the transmission current and the return current respectively to coils W1 , W2 wound in opposite turn directions on a saturable magnetic core 10. Then an exciting current enough to saturate the magnetic core 10 at least in one polarity is fed to a coil W3 of the magnetic core 10 from an exciting voltage source 19. When the transmission and the return currents are equal to each other, continuous voltage pulses having the same consecutive period are generated by the excitation while counting the number with an up-down counter. When any unbalance is in existence, a remaining content of the up-down counter is indicated to a output line 50 or 102.</p> |
