Process for converting synthesis gas into a mixture of essentially linear and saturated hydrocarbons, characterised by the use of a catalyst prepared by a gelling technique, comprising cobalt, copper and ruthenium, the cobalt, the copper and the ruthenium being dispersed on a support comprising at least one oxide of an element chosen from the group consisting of silica and alumina, the cobalt content, expressed as the weight of cobalt relative to the weight of catalyst, being between 1 and 60 % by weight, the ruthenium content, expressed as the weight of ruthenium relative to the weight of cobalt, being between 0.1 and 20 %, and the copper content, expressed as the weight of copper relative to the weight of cobalt, being between 0.1 and 10 %. |
