PURPOSE:To automate mounting a transformer on a printed circuit board by connecting them through a socket equipped with a mechanism to lock them. CONSTITUTION:A socket 2 for mounting of a transformer is composed of a printed circuit board 3, a socket fixing retainer 6 to secure the socket itself 2, a transformer fixing retainer 7 to secure the transformer 1, and a contact terminal 5 installed flush with a lead terminal 4 of transformer 1. The socket 2 is mounted on the board 3, and upon soldering, it is possible to connect the transformer 1 at any time. The contact terminal 5 of the socket 2 gives certain electrical continuity by generating connection with the printed circuit board 3 in the form of twin lead connection for the lead terminal 4 of the transformer 4. |
