PURPOSE:To provide the electronic stringed instrument which can freely be varied in the generation timing of plural plucking sounds to be generated according to the progress and tempo of other music which is listened to simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:When a player performs fingering operation at one of the positions in plural fingering areas, pitch data corresponding to the fingering position is outputted from a CPU 37 for each fingering operation area where the fingering operation is done. Consequently, a series of plucking sounds is automatically outputted in order for each fingering operation area without reference to whether or not the player performs string picking operation. Once a trigger pickup TPU detects the magnitude of the vibration of a tensed string, the CPU 37 varies the generation timing of plural plucking sounds to be generated in order by the indication of the CPU 37 according to the detected magnitude of the vibration of the string. |
