<p>PURPOSE: To obtain the auto-changer capable of compact size without necessity of complicated mechanical assembly for moving recording medium products in the auto-changer and easy access to the stored recording medium products. CONSTITUTION: The auto-changer 10 for a DAT cartridge 52 has a housing 12 of a shape coefft. of 133mm (5-1/4 inches), in this housing, a tape driving mechanism 50, a magazine 70 holding six DAT cartridges 52 and a transfer mechanism 13 for transferring the DAT cartridge between a storage area 15 and the tape driving mechanism 50. A turntable 100 is provided underneath an upper panel 16 of the housing 12, and the magazine 70 is rotated at about 180 deg. to enable access to all the DAT cartridges in the magazine 70 in one direction from its outside.</p> |
