<p>PURPOSE:To downsize a rotor in a regenerative retarder in which a revolving- field pole also serves as a flywheel for engine. CONSTITUTION:Two revolving-field retarders 12, 13 of a regenerative retarder are integrated not through biting a nonmagnetic coupling ring into the revolving- field and welding but through molding with nonmagnetic material 24. Consequently, cross-sectional area required for field magnetic path can be ensured with thinner outer peripheral parts of the revolving-field poles 12, 13 and the rotor of regenerative retarder can be downsized. Furthermore, when notches 12-1, 12-3, 13-1 are made at the outer peripheral ends of the revolving-field poles 12, 13 and filled with the coupling molding material 24, the revolving-field poles 12, 13 are prevented from departing outward centrifugally at the time of rotation.</p> |
