PURPOSE:To provide a case structure and mounting process of high reliability and to provide further the method for fixing a waveguide type optical element within the case under room temperature for the waveguide type optical element comprising a wave-guide formed on a substrate of an electro-optical crystal and an electrode for controlling light wave propagating in the waveguide by means of an external electric field. CONSTITUTION:Concerning time mounting method for the optical waveguide type element mounting an optical waveguide element 1 which comprizes a waveguide introducing light wave and an electrode for controlling the light wave, the waveguide type optical element is pressed and fixed on the surface of an inside wall of a case 2 for housing the waveguide type optical element and providing electric connection with screws for fixing the block body 4 by using or more than one block body 3.
