PURPOSE: To provide a case, in particular a cable branch case, that has a modular structure, is fully sealed with respect to the environment, has a simple structure, guarantees an easy maintenance operation, and enables an intentional breakdown point for essentially preventing the case from being damaged due to external forces. CONSTITUTION: The side wall of a case consists of at least two box-type, counterposing L-type segments 2, and the segment 2 has a groove 8 at one edge in the longitudial direction and a tongue piece 9 at the other edge in the longitudinal direction. A cover element 3 and a bottom element 4 have the groove 8 and a tongue piece section, for making a connection to the L-type segment 2, and the L-type segment 2 is connected to the cover element 3 and the bottom element 4, thus forming a movable door side surface 11 and a fixed rear-wall side surface 12. |
