PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of document preparation by calling the meaning of a word directly from a dictionary part within a device even in the middle of inputting and editing. CONSTITUTION:At the time of intending to convert a word inputted in KANA to KANJI, an operator pushes the 'conversion' key of a key board first. Then, the KANJI of a conversion candidate is displayed on a screen 3. At the time, if the operator continues pushing the a 'conversion' key, the KANJI of another conversion candidate is displayed one after another. When the operator can not select a KANJI because of not knowing the meaning of it well though he/she must select the KANJI at the step, he/she pushes a 'meaning' key provided for the key board device 2. Then, CPU calls the meaning for the KANJI from a storage part to display it on a corner of the screen 3 so as to support the KANJI selection operation by the operator. |
