The plasma display panel includes discharge and refreshing electrodes (7,8) mounted in parallel, and addressing electrodes (3) which are orthogonal to these. Display data is written to the panel in two separated periods which are an addressing period where the inside surface charges are accumulated according to the display area, and a discharge and refreshing period when the discharge and refreshing is repeated to transmit light. The stages are achieved using all the display lines. Scanning is achieved by interpolation with interlaced lines without producing new display data, reducing the addressing time. ADVANTAGE - Plasma display panel may be used for large screen display using full colour. |
