PURPOSE:To manage the quantity of copies to be used for each user without use of a physical management tool by storing in advance plural passwords and a count upper limit for each password and collating the password with an inputted password. CONSTITUTION:Upon the key entry of a user password, an operation panel 303 transmits it to a system controller 253. The controller 253 collates the entered password with a password stored in advance and returns the permission of the use by the user to the panel 303 when there is any coincident password in the memory. The panel 303 indicates the copying machine mode and the copying enable state is reached. When copying is executed, the controller 253 counts up a counter in response to the password and compares the upper limit stored corresponding to the password with the count and when the upper limit is reached, the copying is stopped and the result is displayed on the panel 303. Thus, the quantity of copies to be used by each user is managed and the management efficiency is improved. |
