PURPOSE:To prevent unadjusted merchandise from being carried away even when a payment counter and around the exit of a shop are crowded by generating alarm when a detection means detects a carrier means provided with a component to be detected in an active state. CONSTITUTION:The payment counter 4 is provided near the exit 3 of the shop and a tag sensor 7 for detecting the active state of a tag attached to a shopping cart, an alarm lamp 5 and an alarm buzzer 6 are provided on the exit 3. The tag changeable to the active or inactive state is provided at the front part of the shopping cart. The tag is normally in the active state and is changed to the inactive state after the adjustment is performed at the payment counter 4 by being traced with a magnetic pen by a salesclerk. Thus, an alarm device is not operated since resonance does not occur in a frequency transmitted from the tag sensor 7. On the other hand, when a customer tries to go out of the shop dishonestly without performing the adjustment, the tag sensor 7 detects the resonance of the tag and the alarm device is operated. The used shopping cart is changed to the active state again and is provided inside the shop. |
