<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in image quality, such as the unequal brightness, by the drop of the voltage holding rate of a liquid crystal by forming gate wirings existing in regions exclusive of an image display part packed with the liquid crystal into a specific structure. CONSTITUTION:A first transparent substrate 1 having TFTs and a second transparent substrate 2 having a counter electrode are adhered by a sealing material 3. The liquid crystal of a TN type is sealed therein. The gate wiring material is formed of one layer of the same layer as a conductive thin film used for the gate electrodes of the TFTs in the region 11 packed with the liquid crystal of the gate wirings 5. The gate and source electrodes are formed into the two-layered structure consisting of the conductive films used for the respective electrodes in the region 12 where the liquid crystal of the gate wirings 5 is not packed and the source wirings 6. Then, the most foreign matter of the oriented films at the time of a rubbing treatment of the oriented films is trapped into the region 12 not packed with the liquid crystal of the source wiring parts 5 and gate wirings 5 having a large level difference shape and the resticking thereof to the region 11 packed with the liquid crystal is suppressed. The DC component to be applied on the liquid crystal is relieved.</p> |
