PURPOSE:To enable the numerical controller which has the three-dimensional graphic display function to store shape data on a work and a tool with small storage capacity and also increase the display precision of a necessary part without increasing the storage capacity. CONSTITUTION:A lattice point plane information generation part 16 converts the shape data on the work and tool, which are inputted from a raw material data input part 13 and a tool data input part 14, into binary information on lattice points of predetermined size on three-dimensional coordinates. At the time, when the same information on the plane containing an X and a Y axis among the coordinate axes succeeds in the direction of a Z axis, the succession state is represented as one piece of lattice point plane information and the number of successive pieces of information and the lattice point plane information is registered in the form of a connection list. An image data generation part 111 displays the shapes of the work and tool on a display device 112 according to the registered information. |
