PURPOSE:To provide a data transfer system and a data transfer terminal equipment capable of performing the settlement of accounts which is convenient and has high security without carrying cash. CONSTITUTION:A part or all of the data stored in the first memory of first IC card 1 are transferred to the second memory of the first IC card 1 by using a portable terminal equipment 14. By loading the first IC card 1 and a second IC card 3 on a data transfer terminal equipment 9 and depressing the total amount button of the data transfer terminal equipment 9, all the data within the second memory of the first IC card 1 are transferred to the memory of the second IC card 3.
