PURPOSE:To automatically switch a power saving mode so that power saving in the power saving mode can not performed at the time of using an AC adaptor, and the power saving in the power saving mode can be performed at the time of using a battery by identifying whether or not a power source is the AC adaptor or the battery, and to stepwise turn a device in the power saving mode with power saving level being different according to the voltage of the battery by detecting the voltage of the battery. CONSTITUTION:A data device which is driven by the two kinds of power sources of an AD adaptor 1 and a battery 4, is equipped with a circuit which outputs a signal which is different from the respective cases of whether the AC adaptor 1 is connected or not with each other. When the power source is identified as the AC adaptor 1 from the output signal of the circuit, the power saving in the power saving mode is not performed. And also, this device is equipped with a circuit which detects the voltage of the battery, and when the power source is identified as the battery, the device is turned in the power saving mode with power saving level being different according to the voltage of the battery. |
