PURPOSE:To estimate the consumption of developer, to decrease errors caused in the case of supplying the developer, and to supply toner with high accuracy by adding a weighted image data value by a coefficient corresponding to the characteristic of an image data group. CONSTITUTION:The supply of toner based on the integrated counted value of the data obtained by weighting the image data value is executed until attaining a specified number of sheets, and the error in the supply is detected by a patch reference image forming system, so that the toner is supplied. In the case a toner amount shows an excessively supplied state by the supply of the toner, the integrated counting of data obtained by weighting the image data value is started and continued until attaining the counted value equivalent to the excessive supply amount. When the counted value equivalent to the excessive supply amount is attained, the counted value of a counter is cleared to '0', and then the integrated counting of the data obtained by weighting the image data value is started as usual, and the toner is supplied based on the counted value. |
