PURPOSE:To provide the video display device which is compact and can realize an image display of high resolution without generating a crosstalk. CONSTITUTION:On an optical path formed from a first and a second back lights 1, 2, a first and a second diffusion plates 3, 4, a first and a second transmission type liquid crystal displays 5, 6 arranged by shifting relatively picture elements, and a first and a second lenses 7, 8 are provided, respectively, and images formed by a first and a second transmission type liquid crystal displays which receive light from a first and a second back lights are synthesized through two half mirrors 50, 51, and light-guided to a left eye 19 and a right eye 20 through reflecting mirrors 52, 53, and a reflecting mirror 54, respectively. |
