PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of an unnecessary musical tone control parameter and to provide a natural musical performance having not pitch deviation by detecting the lateral operating force of a performance operation element and generating a musical tone control parameter according to the detected operating force. CONSTITUTION:An ON/OFF switch is operated by the up/down oscillation of the keyboard 14 of this electronic keyboard musical instrument around a fulcrum to generate or mute a musical tone. Further, this keyboard oscillates laterally by the straining of a neck part 1b, whose strain is detected by strain sensors R1 and R2. The musical tone control parameter is generated from data on the strain detected by the sensors R1 and R2 and pitch bending is controlled with the parameter. When the strain data are less than a certain value, pitch variation data is generated corresponding to only the difference data. When the strain data exceed a certain value, the pitch variation data is generated according to the sum of the difference data and lateral operation data. |
