PURPOSE: To obtain a fusion member having a long service life in a device for fusing the fusion member and a toner image in an electrophotographic copying machine. CONSTITUTION: A multilayered fusion roll 10 has an adhesive layer 16 interposed between the Al substrate 18 and the elastomer fusion surface 12 made of a vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer having <=40mol% vinylidene fluoride content. The adhesive layer 16 is formed by hardening a soln. contg. a vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer having <=40mol% vinylidene fluoride content and about 6-20 pts.wt. specified aminosilane based on 100 pts.wt. of the copolymer in a solvent.
