PURPOSE:To decrease the number of switches and to simplify the operation of an on-vehicle ECU device by carrying out various input operations with combination of operating states of at least two switches. CONSTITUTION:The prescribed information is taken out of a data base stored in an external storage 4 in response to the operation input carried out through an operation input part 2 and under the control of an ECU 1 consisting of a CPU, a program ROM and a control RAM. Then the information is shown at a display part 3. Meanwhile two operation switches are provided to retrieve the information desired by a user out of the data base. Then the ECU 1 decides plural types of input commands that are previously decided with combination of the operating states of those operation switches and carries out the prescribed processing in response to each input command. The operation switches use the push-button switches, for example, and are pushed rather strongly or weakly as a strong/weak click function to perform the different types of input operations. |
