Double sided ring spinning frame - has doffing mechanism driven by extending gear driven from a central point

On a double-sided ring spinning frame which has doffing equipment, the cops are exchanged for tubes by an extending mechanism operating at both sides. The drive is placed between the sides, and pushes or pulls the extending gear. Typically at each side of the spinning frame there is a spindle rail. The cops are doffed by a top bar, which is equipped with grippers to lift the cops, and remove them to a conveyor. The same grippers lift tubes to set on the empty spindles. The top bars have side levers hinged to them, which are held at the bottom with a hinge (9). From the middle of this lever, a short lever extends to a hinge on the base bearing (11, 12). The bar (10) slides through this bearing, and other bearings (14) attached to cross pieces (15) on the frame. ADVANTAGE - The single drive for both sides is economical.
