Circular magnetic flux conducting elements (3), orientated axially, are fitted at the wheels (1, 2). The ends of the flux conducting elements cover the respective driving and driven wheels. Some of the flux conducting elements are displaced in the direction of rotation. The number of the permanent magnetic poles of the individual wheels (1, 2) differ from each other. One wheel (1, 2) at least is arranged on each shaft. Either permanent magnets (6) or a gear tooth system are arranged on a wheel circumference. ADVANTAGE - Permits transmission of large torques at high efficiency and can be produced with low mfg. cost.
