The joint body (12) is fixedly connected to a first shaft and defines a hollow cavity (14) which is filled with an incompressible fluid . The joint body is held axially fixed relative to the second shaft (18) by holders having an elastically deformable element (30) which cannot be axially deformed through the action of the resulting pressure forces to which it is subjected and which stem from an axial strain of one shaft relative to the other. In the absence of any axial strain of one shaft relative to the other the momentary rotary centre of the elastically deformable element coincides with the geometric rotary centre (C) of the joint independently of the operating angle of the joint. The elastically deformable element is preferably solid and forms a tight partition closing the hollow cavity on the side remote from the base.
