A warp knitter system to insert a longitudinal weft, parallel to the needle bed, has a carrier bar (7,8) for the needles (1) or slides (2) with sinkers (22) at least at both ends with angled surfaces (23). On the knocking-over movement of the needles, the positioned weft (17) is caught and moved along the angled surfaces (23) towards the fabric advance direction. When the needles are in the knocking-over position, the weft is pressed behind their trailing sides. The weft is pressed towards the knocking-over edge by standing yarns or a sinker bar or a depresser. The angled guides are slits shaped in the relevant bar. The projection of the needle points along the needle bed is covered by the angled guides. USE/ADVANTAGE - The warp knitter system is for the insertion of a positioned longitudinal weft. The unit to present the yarn is simplified for trouble-free working.
