PURPOSE:To provide a sharper image excellent in resolution by throttling beam width narrower at the time of multistage focusing. CONSTITUTION:At the time of conducting luster synthesis by multistage focusing, not only the echo data of focus area but also the echo data of defocus area are utilized. In the first stage, the echo data of not only a focus area (1) but also defocus areas (2), (3) are used, in the second stage, the echo data of not only a focus area (5) but also defocus areas (4), (6) are used, and in the third stage, the echo data of not only a focus area (9) but also defocus areas (7), (8) are used. Since beam width can be throttled, thus, resolution can be improved. |
