PRODUCTION OF RESIN MOLDED ITEM

PURPOSE:To eliminate a defect, such as an occurrence of crack, to improve the surface quality of a resin molded item. CONSTITUTION:A space 3 is formed between a first mold 1 and a second mold 2 which can move to/from the first mold 1. A molding resin 4a is compression molded into a resin molded body 4 in this space 3. After that, a coating material 5a is injected onto the surface of the resin molded body 4. A coating layer 5 is provided by again conducting compression molding. In this molding method, a pressing position is controlled so that a distance between the first and second molds 1 and 2 in the initial injection stage of the coating material 5a is larger than that in the later injection stage.
