BETA-SILICON NITRIDE-BASED SINTERED COMPACT AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a high strength dense silicon nitride-based sintered compact excellent in bonding property to a metal even when low-cost refractory-grade beta-silicon nitride powder is used as starting material. CONSTITUTION:The ratio of beta-silicon nitride to beta-silicon nitride and beta-silicon nitride in a silicon nitride-based sintered compact is regulated to >=0.9, the amts. of iron and calcium in the sintered compact are regulated to 0.3-3wt.% and 0.05-15wt.%, respectively, and the bulk density of the sintered compact is regulated to >=95% of the theoretical density. Thus, the objective beta-silicon nitride-based sintered compact is provided.
