PURPOSE: To swiftly couple a claw clutch by arranging a pressure accumulator forced by a spring in pressure chamber in a control arrangement for cylinder valves of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION: Deactivatable cams 5 to 7 are axially-slidably arranged on a camshaft 1. The cams 5 to 7 are axially slidable to couple with claw clutches 14 to 16 arrange on each cam by increasing the pressure of pressure medium of pressure chambers 27 to 29 adjacent to the cams. The claw clutches relatively rotation-impossibly couple the cams 5 to 7 and the camshaft 1. When the claws 17 to 19, 23 to 25 of the claw clutches 14 to 16 are not in the relative rotation positions that are necessary for coupling, pressure accumulators 33 to 35, 41 to 43 forced by springs are arranged in pressure chambers 27 to 29 for pressure accumulation. By this manner, coupling of the claw clutches can be conducted very quickly.
