<p>PURPOSE:To ensure closeness by forming a hole for a mounting pipe in an existing pipe by boring, by inserting the mounting pipe in the hole without opening or cutting the pipe, and by inserting the front end of the mounting pipe, to which a seal material is applied, and with which a penetrating ring is set, in the hole of the existing pipe. CONSTITUTION:When a branch pipe (mounting pipe) 1 is bifurcated and connected to an existing pipe P such as water pipe, embedded in the ground, an auger of an excavating device is rotated, and after a hole extending from above the ground to the existing pipe P is excavated without opening or cutting the pipe, a hole P1 of fixed size is formed in the existing pipe P by using a drill. A stopper 4 is fixed to the outer periphery of the front end of the mounting pipe 1 while a penetrating ring 2 is tentatively fixed thereto, and after a seal material 3 is applied between the ring and the stopper 4, the mounting pipe 1 is inserted into the hole P1 of the existing pipe P until the stopper 4 is made to abut on the existing pipe P. In this condition, a connection device 11 is inserted into the mounting pipe 1, and a link mechanism 15 provided on the front end of the device is operated so that the penetrating ring 2 is pushed into the hole P1 to make the seal material 3 pressure-closed and closeness of the connected part is thus ensured.</p> |
