摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the freedom of change gear ratios and attain compactness in a manual speed change gear for a vehicle by providing a first and a second countershafts parallel to an input shaft and an output shaft, and switching the mesh of gears provided at these shafts by clutches to form three speed change systems. CONSTITUTION:A first countershaft 30 and a second countershaft 40 are provided parallel to an input shaft 10 and an output shaft 20, and three systems of change gear ratios are formed by the combination of gears and clutches among the input shaft 10, the output shaft 20 and both countershafts 30, 40. That is, a first speed change system is formed by a pair of gears G1, two pair of gears G3, G3 and a clutch C3 for switching these gears, a second speed change system is formed by a pair of gears G4, two pairs of gears G2, G2 and clutches C2 for switching these gears, and a third speed change system is formed by connecting the first countershaft 30 directly to the second counter- shaft 40 by a clutch C1.
