<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the rise time of an apparatus, stabilize the operation at the time of steady operation, and improve volumetric load by making treating water be ascending flow while keeping methane bacteria precipitated in the dish-like recessed parts which are laid at random in a reaction tank with the recessed parts faced upward. CONSTITUTION:For a large number of shell pieces 13 which are laid in a reaction tank 1, for example, bivalve scallop shells divided to each shell piece are used. A large number of the shell pieces 13 are piled up in the way the pieces precipitate swingingly due to their shapes and recessed parts face upward naturally only by being thrown. To the tank 1 filled with the piled up shell pieces 13 in this way, seed sludge is thrown from the upper side and a ceiling plate 2 is closed and thus the apparatus forming work is completed. Then, when raw water is led to the tank 1 through a raw water flowing-in pipe 7, it flows upward and after a prescribed time passes, treated water with the set water quality is obtained through a treated water flowing-out pipe 10.</p> |
