PURPOSE:To easily manufacture an anisotropic permanent magnet having a three-dimentionally complicated shape by subjecting a mixture of the fine powder of R2Co17 type intermetallic compounds and a specified organic binder to injection molding in a magnetic field and thereafter executing sintering. CONSTITUTION:R2Co17 type intermetallic compound having a compsn. expressed by the formula R (Co1-a-bFeaCub Mc)2 (in which R denotes at least one or more kinds among rare earth elements including Y and, M denotes at least one or more kinds among Ti, Zr, Hf, Mn, Al, Cr, Si and Ni as well as (a)=0.10 to 0.30, (b)=0.05 to 0.30, (c)=0.001 to 0.100 and (z)=6.0 to 8.7) is pulverized so as to regulate the average grain diameter into 1 to 5mum. This pulverized powder is mixed with, as a binder, 0.05 to 0.5wt.% methyl cellulose together with 8 to 16wt.% pure water subjected to deoxygenation treatment, which is kneaded and is subjected to injection molding in a magnetic field of >=10KOe to form its shape into a desired one. This molded body is subjected to dehydrating and debindering treatment ant is thereafter sintered at about 1200 deg.C to manufacture the sintered anisotropic permanent magnet contg. <600ppm C and <7000ppm O. |
