PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid detergent composition which presents a beautiful pearly luster and is excellent in dispersion stability while retaining sufficient foaming ability by mixing a specified anionic surfactant, a tertiary amine oxide, a nonionic or ampholytic surfactant, an opacifying agent, and an aromatic carboxylic acid or its salt. CONSTITUTION:The composition consists of 5-30wt.% salt of a polyoxyethylene alkyl or alkenyl ether sulfate represented by the formula R1O(CH2CH2O)lSO3M (wherein R1 is 8-18C alkyl or alkenyl; l is an average number of the molecules added and is 1 to 7; and M is an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, ammonium or alkanolamine) or alpha-olefinsulfonic acid salt, 1-10wt.% tertiary amine oxide of formula I (wherein R1 is as defined above; and R2 and R3 are each methyl or ethyl), 1-10wt.% nonionic or ampholytic surfactant, 1-10wt.% opacifying agent, and 1-10wt.% aromatic carboxylic acid (salt) of formula II (wherein R4, R5, and R6 are each 1-3C alkyl, OH or H; and A1 is carboxyl or carboxylate). |
