PURPOSE:To copy two sheets of originals on one sheet by forming a reduction image for the two sheets of originals on a medium to be image-formed when the size of the reduction image of the original is less than 1/2 of the medium to be image-formed. CONSTITUTION:When it is informed that the size of the original is, for example, less than A4 from an original size 'detecting part 65, a main control part 61 drives an original scanning part driving part 68, and an original scanning part processing part 69 outputs the reduction image obtained at a charge conversion part 11 to an image processing part 66. The image processing part 66 performs processing such as shading correction, etc., on an image signal from the original scanning part processing part 69, and stores it in an image memory part 67. When the size of a second original is less than A4, the main control part 61 synthesizes it with the image of a first original stored in the image memory part 67, and outputs a synthesized image to an image formation part processing part 71.
